QualificationsB.Sc. in Agriculture/Biosciences with minimum OCPA 6.0/10.0 or 60 % marks.

M. Sc. in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics ‘crop plants’/Biosciences with minimum OCPA 6.5/10.00 or 65 % marks.

Ph.D in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics ‘crop plants’/ /Biosciences with minimum OCPA 6.5/10.00 or 65 % marks.

Desirable: Experience/research work in relevant field.

Pay Scale : Rs. 40000

JRF/1 Post

Pay Scale : Rs. 25000/- per month + 20% HRA in the

Project :“High resolution QTL mapping for iron (Fe),zinc (Zn.) grain protein and phytate content and their introgression in high yielding wheat cultivars” CSS-65 (PC-6296).

Qualification: B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Genetics /Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Plant Breeding Genetics & Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.

Ph.D. in the relevant field with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.

Pay Scale : Rs. 47000

Junior Research Fellow /1 Post

Project: “Revealing the genetic sectets of Aegilops tauschii genome to shape future cereal crops” CSS-66 (PC-6297).

Qualifications: B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Genetics /Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Plant Breeding Genetics & Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks + NET by ARS, DBT, CSIT/UGC NET or GATE.

Pay Scale: Rs.31000/- per month + 16% HRA in the 

Note-I: The candidate with Ph.D in the relevant subjects and without NET is also eligible for the position.

Research Associate/1 Post 

Project “Cambridge-India Network for Translational Research in Nitrogen (CINTRIN)” CSS-06 (PC-6205).

Qualifications
B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.

M.Sc. in Soil Science/Agronomy/ Chemistry/ Life Science with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% mark.

Ph.D. in Soil Science/ Agronomy/ Chemistry/ Life Science.

If the candidates with Ph.D. are not available, then the positions will be filled at a lower scale of Rs. 25000/-pm +HRA as per qualifications given below for the position of Junior Research Fellow.

i. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.

ii. M.Sc. in Soil Science/Agronomy/ Chemistry/ Life Science with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks + NET by ARS, DBT, CSIT/UGC NET or GATE.

Pay Scale : Rs. 36000

The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established.
