CATEGORY-II Stipendiary Trainees : *Total No. of posts :43 [28 Posts for NRB, Kalpakkam (SC- 06 , OBC- 12, UR- 08, EWS- 02) & 15 Posts for NRB, Tarapur (OBC- 03, UR- 11, EWS- 01) 

1. Plant Operator 
/ 07 Posts

Qualification: HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

2. Laboratory Assistant/ 04 Posts

Qualification: HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate OR SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory Assistant. The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards .

Trade Certificate: 1) NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR 2) NAC of two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme. OR 3) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course. OR 4) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

Qualification: For Posts 3 to 9: SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Fitter / Welder / Turner/ Electrician / Instrument Mechanic/ Electronic Mechanic/AC Mechanic.

The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate: 1) NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR 2) NAC of two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme OR 3) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course. OR 4) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme. 

Stipend during training : Rs.10500/- per month for the 1st year and ` 12500/- for the 2nd year.

AGE LIMIT: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 22 Years as on 07.08.2019.

Selection Method : The selection process will consist of test in 3 stages. (Stage 1 & 2 – Written Test and Stage 3 - Trade /Skill Test). There will be negative marking in the written Examination for incorrect answers.

Pay Scale : TECHNICIAN/B Level 3 : Rs.21700 TECHNICIAN/C Level 4 : Rs. 25500


DR/01 Technician/C (Boiler Operator) / 03 Posts

Qualification: SSC + I Class Boiler Attendant’s Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. 

DR/02 Technician/B (Painter) /  01

Qualification: SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Painter.

The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate: 1) NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR 

2) NAC of two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme OR 3) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course. OR 4) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

 For DR/01 & DR/02: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 Years as on 07.08
